*SALE* VINTAGE Victorian Steampunk Magic Lantern; Hand-made: Super-cool w/box

you are looking at a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted Steampunk Magic Lantern Projector that still works. comes in it's own wooden box with sliding, removable cover, latches and a place to lock it. box measures 27" x 13 1/2" x 8 1/2".  projector measures, when fully opened: 22" x 9" x 7".  every part of this projector has been hand-tooled, and fastened using copper, brass , piping and most likely the recycled bellows from an antique camera. I'm an artist myself and i would figure that this person spent easily 250+ working hours on planning, cutting, shaping, screwing, fitting and re-fitting just to make everything slide and project just right.  light switch still works and comes with 2- 4 3/8" convex glass lenses.  there are two apertures that these lenses go into (pictured), but i am not sure how they attach. it has all the parts and even a wooden holder for the glass slides you want to project.  you have to be obsessively driven to create something like this.  from the construction of this, i'd say someone made this around 1975-90, when Steampunk appeared on the scene. with the box this machine weighs over 25 lbs.  will pack carefully in it's box and insure. if you have any questions for this beautiful hand-crafted machine don't hesitate to ask!
