    VTG Derby Silverplate Egyptian Revival Creamer 1604 Sphinx Pyramid Pharaoh 1920sThis is an exceptional Egyptian Revival Creamer from Derby Silver Co., Derby, Connecticut. Quadruplate (silverplate), this piece is marked with style number #1604 on the underside. Stunning piece that is perfect for cream (lots of cream!) or a handful of flowers to brighten up your table.The piece is highly decorated with classic Egyptian patterns in relief (raised) and include sphinx, pyramids, palm trees, palmetto fronds, fans, and pharaoh motifs.The feet and legs have shield and geometric designs, echoed in the bottom border. The oversize handle is also highly decorated.The bottom of the body is also engraved with more tradition Victorian and Art Deco motifs of geometric fans, palmetto leaves, and sprays of wheat.There is a medallion suitable to monogram on one side (the other side features a sail boat).
    Approx. 6-1/2 inches tall and 5-3/4 inches spout to handle edge. The 'belly' is approx. 4 inches in diameter. No visible dents, chips, nicks, or repairs. Beautiful antique/vintage patina.
