The covered sugar stands about 7.25 inches tall and 6.5 inches wide, The waste pot stands 4 inches tall and 5.75 inches wide and the creamer stands 7.25 inches tall. Up for auction is an amazing 3 piece set consisting of the covered sugar, creamer and waste pot with the Rogers Smith & Company makers marks on the base along with New Haven CT. The company has a short but long history dating back to c1857. They occupied 3 locations during the time they manufactured silver plate. The company manufactured in Hartford CT, 1857 - 1862, New Haven CT, 1862 - 1877 and West Meriden CT 1877 - 1880 at which time they dropped the West and just used the Meriden until about 1919. We assume the set is from the period of 1862 - 1877 based on the marks on the base. The set is exceptional as shown in the pictures.
