Professional Sankyo 2000H FEATURES

Dual 8 Projector

The 2000H is a dual 8 projector.  This means that it will play either Super 8 or Regular 8 film with the simple flip of a switch.  There are no other adjustments to switch film formats.  This high-end PROFESSIOINAL projector also offers sprocketless film feed.  Many projectors, of this era, utilized sprockets that had tendencies to damage film holes.  This feature is why a vast majority of professional transfer shops use this very model projector for film transfer. Ove the twenty plus years of selling projectors on eBay, I have NEVER had one of these projectors damage or "eat" film.
True Rheostat Variable Speed
-
TRUE rheostat variable speed allows the user to speed up or slow down the speed of the film as it advances through the projector.  If you plan on transferring your movies to digital formats yourself, you will need a projector that incorporates true rheostat variable speed so that you can "sync" the speed of the projector's shutter to that of your recording device's shutter.  This will avoid "light-flicker" in the final recorded image caused by improperly "synched" shutters.  Some eBay sellers inaccurately state that their projectors have variable speed, when in fact, their projectors only have preset speed controls...totally different from rheostat variable speed.  Only the highest-end projectors incorporated this feature.  The variable speed control is the dial in the center of the round function knob.

The 2000H not only offers true rheostat variable speed control but also offers slow motion, freeze frame, and normal speeds via a dial on the front of the projector.
100 Watt Lamp

This 2000H utilizes one of the most brilliant lamps used in a projector.  These EFP 100 watt lamps have a very long 50 hour lifespan and are readily available for around .00 on the internet.  I give all of my buyers the location where they can purchase new lamps at my wholesale prices.  I include two brand new lamps with this projector plus the one that was in the projector when I found it, which appears to have very little, or no use.  These lamps are also very user-friendly to change.  All lamps are guaranteed to be new and working upon receipt of the projector but no warranty on lamps beyond the date of receipt.
New Belt

Nearly all of the old belts that were used in this era of projectors were "ozone-sensitive" and turned to goo over the years.  I have installed a brand new belt and also will send
two additional brand new belts
with this projector.  I doubt that you will ever need to change the new belt that I have installed, because they are not ozone sensitive, but you will have two extra just in case you are doing a lot of transfer work and want to ever replace the belt.  I don't know of any other eBay sellers that offer this additional service.  These belts are also very easy to replace and can be replaced in about five minutes or less.
Ultra Sharp Zoom Lens

The 2000H offers one of the absolute sharpest zoom lenses ever placed in a projector.  This zoom lens is an f1.4 15-25mm and is extremely sharp from edge to edge of the projected image, with virtually no light "fall-off" on the projected image's edges.  To zoom in or out, simply twist the outside ring of the lens.
400' Auto-Load Take-Up Reel

This projector comes with the original Sankyo 400' take-up reel.  This reel auto-loads the film onto it as it exits the projector.
Heavy Duty Power Cord
