Vintage GoldE Product Multi-Drawer (6)  Slide Carrying Case 1930-1940s Original
Condition:  This is a great case for slides, has six drawers holding six drawers that hold 40 slides each, the handle and drawers are made of Bakelite, so impervious to heat or cold changes. Solid outer case, with a fabric-look covering that is glued on it isn't painted.  The clasp works well, it is metal.  Shows expected wear for its age, a few scruffs, and marks.  GoldE existed from 1920-1958, I expect this is a model that is more likely 1930-40s.  It is  9.5 x 6.5 x 8.0 inches and weighs a hefty 3 pounds 10 ounces STURDY and DURABLE.
The GoldE Manufacturing Co was a company that existed between 1920-1958 that manufactured projectors, both film and slide, and theatre equipment (lighting and such).  At some point in their history they were located at 1220-C West Madison St  in Chicago.
