    Description

Antique New Amsterdam Silver Company creamer or cream jug.  It could also be used for syrup, gravy, or salad dressing.  It is a unique pitcher with a leaf, floral decoration design on the lip edge of the bowl and on the top outside edge of the bowl below the lip.   The lip is a 1/2 inch overhang.   The handle is a plain circular loop.  The lip of the server is triangular shaped.  It is very graceful and elegant.  The New Amsterdam Silver Company was in New York, New York in the late 1800's.  It became Knickerbocker Silver Co around 1904.  Inside the base is etched New Amsterdam Silver Co and the numbers 489.  There is a chance the 9 is a G because it is larger than the 8.  Silver plated. Overall excellent condition for age.  Silver is worn in bottom of bowl where it is attached to base.  Beautiful patina with a few dings.  Some scratch marks inside bowl. One small indention at edge of base.
