Vintage Mottahedeh reproduction Creil Ware in the yellow ground with black toile transferware decorations in the French Neoclassical taste originally styled by Creil Montereau.
Marked in black stamp: Some "ITALY S.5012" and some “CREIL REPRODUCTION, CREATED BY MOTTAHEDEH, ITALY S.5012”
Pair of Mottahedeh Chinoiserie display/cabinet plates decorated with black transferware scenes on a bright yellow ground. Zoom into photos to appreciate in detail. They are marked on the underside Mottahedeh, the mark of the leader in luxury ceramic decorative items and historic designs. Mottahedeh held the license to many classic designs and made pieces for the White House, the State Department and Diplomatic Corps as well as museums. Perfect accent for an entryway, dining room, bedroom or similar.
Approximate Measurements: 8 1/4" wide by 6 1/2" tall.
Condition : Unused or very slightly used. Some may show some minor rim imperfections typical of faience, otherwise in excellent vintage condition (each item is thoroughly inspected for quality and is guaranteed to be in excellent condition). No noticeable defects, cracks, chips, cutlery marks, crazing or repair.
