    Description

Lot of 2 Rare Antique Silver Plated Copper Edison Hotpoint Cream and Sugar Cups
This antique 2-piece creamer and sugar bowl set is made of copper and plated with silver. Sugar bowl and creamer have a paneled design with ribs or panels vertically down the sides. The handles and overall shape are a bit of Art Deco style - a sleek design. They both show a little bit of copper oxidization on the inside and the outsides are a little worn but overall we would say they are in good condition for their age. Please inspect photos thoroughly for a better quality assessment. The pair are each marked on the bottom:
“EDISON Hotpoint ELEC. APPL. CO. INC” and “Y115P9” and “Y115P10” respectively.
In 1911, the Hotpoint Company was founded by Earl Richardson. In 1918, the company, known as the Hotpoint Electric Heating Company, merged with the Heating Device Section of General Electric, becoming the Edison Electric Appliance Company.
