    Description

    Antique L. Bamberger & Co. Newark, NJ silver soldered sugar bowl.  Made by Reed & Barton in 1928.  4.5" handle to handle x 4.25" tall.  Holds 8 oz.
    The L. Bamberger & Co. opened its flagship store at 131 Market Street in downtown Newark on October 16, 1912.  The historic building once ranked among the nation's largest department stores.  The massive building covered an entire city block.  There was a restaurant on the 10th floor which is where this sugar bowl was most likely used.
    Very good condition.  One ding around the back.
