    Some Info:
Highly regarded silversmith artist Wolmar Castillo of Taxco Mexico. His family has been involved in making incredible Taxco silver pieces for many years. And these pieces are no exception! All of Wolmar's pieces are of the highest quality and skill and highly sought after. It is silver plate over copper with genuine green jasper used on the Chameleons and spoon handle.  All hand made/forged/crafted and has a beautiful hammered pattern. All except the spoon are signed on the bottom. Below is more information on this incredible artist and his family. As stated earlier the Castillo family are famous silver artists and Wolmar is the son of the famed Taxco jewelry designer Antonio Castillo, founder of the Los Castillo workshop that contributed greatly to the development of Taxco jewelry in the 1940s and 1950s. These vintage
pieces are always in demand. Wolmar specializes in using a thick layer of silver plate onto copper in the form of pitchers, trays, vases, and such. The silver is then complemented by intricate stonework details in the form of reptiles and peacocks as well as other interesting animals. His work has been exhibited extensively in the U.S. and he is often called on to lecture on the topic of modern Taxco silverwork. His designs combine a strong Mexican influence with a thoroughly modern look and highly sought after.
