Description
Up for sale is a very nicely preserved set of a silverplated sugar and creamer. These were made by F. B. Rogers Co., from Taunton, Mass. The mark is a crown with 1883, which I have read is one of their earliest marks. There are no monograms and no removals.
Although dated 1883 on the bottom, these probably date from the early to mid 1900's. They are in very nice condition without dents or any deep scratches, and make a fine bright addition to your breakfast table.
The creamer measures 4.5" from the end of the handle to the tip of the spout, 3 1/4" tall at the top of the flourish on the handle, and 2 1/4" inches across the bottom support. It weighs 129.2 grams. It was designed with a beaded edge, and one flourish on the curved handle. It has some slight roughness around the bottom, but no dents, heavy scratching, or missing plate. Some light scratching and remaining tarnish can be expected on my vintage silver.
The open sugar bowl is also bead-edged and doesn't seem to have been designed with a lid. It has the same bottom stamp as the cream pitcher, and the same roughness around the bottom. It has one oval spot of tarnish underneath the inside rim that lightened when I cleaned it, so it may be removable. The sugar measures 6" across handle tip to handle tip, about 3" tall, and about 2 1/2" across the bottom, and weighs 149.9 grams. Light scratching and some tarnish is endemic to antique and vintage silver. These would also make a lovely addition to your Holiday table.

Buyer to pay for purchase and minimal shipping within 3 days of the sale's end. You may owe taxes depending on where you live. I wrap well, and I ship quickly. Sorry, no international sales, and no returns unless I have made an oversight in my listing. My photographs are greatly enlarged so you will have no unpleasant surprises. No one has ever smoked here so you will never get any nicotine smells or stains on or from my items.
A note about shipping: When I can, I re-use shipping supplies and will mail USPS first class when possible. I have found that despite dropping packages at the post office early in the morning, they only scan in with tracking as the package goes on a truck that evening. If you see a delay between purchase of your shipping and when the Post Office claims to have it, this is why.
