Up for auction is a lovely silver plate syrup pitcher or creamer by The Rogers & Brothers Silver Company from the c1880's. The pitcher features a design in one of the "Mask Patterns" which were popular between 1860's through the mid 1880's. Each of the four feet are in the form of "The Bearded Man or sometimes called The Viking" and the thumb rest on the handle features the bust of a woman. According to the book American Silver Plate by Rainwater, the earlier syrup pitcher didn't come with the drip spout but were almost identical to a covered creamer. The syrup pitcher is in good condition as shown in the pictures. The silver plate is bright and shiny and there are no monograms or repairs and the inside is clean and usable. It stands about 7.25 inches tall and measures 6.5 inches wide from the handle to the spout. We will supply additional information and pictures if the buyer requests such. We do not believe in Buyers or Sellers Remorse.
