    "In 1865, William [Rogers]... went to Hartford and formed William Rogers Manufacturing Company and taking into the business William Rogers, Jr. The trademarks they used were "Wm. Rogers & Son", "Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co.", "1865 Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co." and (anchor symbol) Rogers (anchor symbol)". Other members of the firm included Thomas Birch, William J. Pierce and William H. Watrous. [After 1898, Wm. Rogers Mfg. Co. became part of the International Silver Company.]
