Description
Antique E.G Webster & Son Quadruple Plate Silver Soup Tureen Circa 1903 model 69. With a beautiful and intricate grape leaf and vine design. E.G Webster & Son Manufactured Silverplated items from 1886 to 1928 located in New York. They Marking on the bottom is a spiderweb with a star in the center and the letter W. The model number of this Soup Tureen is 69 and was patented in 1903. It is tarnished and has a very small dent on the side, see pictures. The lid fits snuggly and for its age shows and very little wear, minor scratches and one handle is missing a screw although the handle is securely fastened. It measures 10 1/2 inches from handle to handle, 8 inches high to top of lid, and the mouth is 6 inches across. Overall a very nice piece and good example of late Victorian, early Edwardian form and style. These photos are not flattering, it is a really nice piece.
