Camille Le Tallec (November 9, 1906 – August 21, 1991) was a French porcelain craftsman and artist..In 1961, Le Tallec started a fruitful collaboration with the silver and jewelry firm Tiffany & Co. which led in 1990 to the Atelier Le Tallec's incorporation into the American company, one year before his death in Paris.... Tiffany's and Le Tallec designed successful original and private porcelain patterns that could be seen in all Tiffany's stores in the United-States....Over 60 years, Le Tallec has maintained traditional hand-painted porcelain. He preserved and revisited about 375 original and historical patterns signed by the Le Tallec's marks... Atelier Le Tallec was inducted as a member of the Grands Ateliers de France (the fifty best studios in France) in 2000.
In todays auction, I am offering a rare 9 pieces  of a 8" plate, display plates

Decorated by the Atelier Camille "Le Tallec' in Paris  - exclusively for Tiffany & Co. Private Stock. The stunning pattern completely hand painted is name "Directoire", created in 1989. This pattern has been discontinued and the remaining inventory was sold to employees. This is why you will see the notation on the back "Employee Sale".  These plates also bare the stamp "Not for Food Use- consumed from this
vessel, may be harmful". I am not sure the reason for this stamp, so I will refer to these plates as
display plates
.
Detail and quality of these rare pieces are outstanding - Hand-painted detail you will find bands accented with a small red flower. I had these on display in my home for years. The unique color combination is a lovely.
The underside is fully marked on each plate, as reflected in photos.
Approximate size of each plate is approx 8 inches wide by 3/4 inches tall.
Light signs of previous use and should be expected from previous use and ownership.....  The painted design on these place is gorgeous!
